Katherine Lawson
Katherine Lawson has been fascinated by the power of dreams for most of her life. While obtaining her MA in Counseling Psychotherapy with a focus in Depth Psychotherapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute, she published a thesis looking at the healing properties of dream work, focusing on PTSD and other types of unprocessed wounds. This eventually led her to a successful private practice addressing these same issues with others. When diagnosed with cancer, her treatment experience was drenched in intense pain and anxiety. Realizing that a lot of her suffering during treatment was the result of the emotional trauma, she now shares how cancer patients can self-heal using their dream imagery, just as she did.
As a Mind Body Medicine doctoral student, she is deeply interested in therapies that stimulate a person's capacity for self-knowledge and self-healing through self-care. She is a certified Embodied Imagination practitioner, consultant, and lecturer in the US and abroad, as well as a mother and wife.
