8 Weeks to a Happy You
Regardless of how you might rate your current level of happiness, wouldn’t you like to feel happier? The desire for happiness is an essential part of human nature, so why aren’t more of us feeling happier, more of the time? Research shows that we often get in the way of our own happiness by searching for it in the wrong places, and mistakenly believe our happiness is determined by particular events or circumstances. Many of us compare the perceived happiness of others with our own, less happy life. Until we understand the nature of happiness and how we create our own experience of it, we will be powerless to increase our experience of it. This course will teach you the science of how you can make happiness a conscious choice, rather than a random, chance event.
The science of positive psychology, commonly referred to as ‘the science of happiness and success’ provides a unique insight into the most common habits and characteristics of people who flourish and thrive in life. Unlike the often subjective and one-size-fits-all approach offered in self-help books, positive psychology is non-prescriptive. In this course, we will help you explore and discover exactly what works for you, so you can adapt and apply these principles to fit your unique personality and lifestyle. You will learn that even the smallest of changes in thoughts and actions can have a profound and natural impact on your ability to maximize your happiness potential each day.
Feeling Happier In Your Life
This course is was written by two leading positive psychologists and researchers, based on their own experience of completing the Masters in Applied Positive Psychology degree course and investigating their own personal experience of happiness. They share their knowledge and their personal experience throughout the course as well as participating in the forums and offering free online webinar discussions from time to time. During this 8 week course you will be carefully guided as you are encouraged to explore, reflect and apply the science of happiness in your own life, to discover what will make you feel happier in your life.
