A Year of Guided Meditations
A Year of Guided Meditations is a series of 52 guided meditations featuring profoundly positive principles and ways of becoming your highest self. Every week for a year, you will receive a new guided meditation spoken in a soothing voice along with a beautiful musical background and stunning video images of a nature. These high-powered "Be-Attitudes" are ideals and values to strive for. Each meditation is about a minute long and is spoken in the "I AM" tense with the understanding that as you repeat it or internally absorb it along with the spoken word, you are coming that much closer to actualizing the idea within you, in the present tense, at this moment. By speaking as if you are already embodying the principle, you are not waiting for it to manifest at a future time and it can truly manifest within you – in the Now.
If you contemplate one meditation a week, you will benefit by that principle actually becoming an inherent part of who you are. As you focus on one affirmation at a time, by listening to it and watching the video every day or at least several times during the week, you will energize that principle within you. At times during the week when you are not listening to the affirmation, you can extend its benefit by internally repeating a short, simple affirmation or mantra related to the one you are focusing on. This will help you to internalize the affirmation and make it more real for you personally.
Of the affirmation process Dudley says "As the statements become part of your daily existence, with repetition and intention they can ultimately help focus your mind toward your highest ideals." These strong gentle reminders help us move our thoughts to a higher state so we can live with greater clarity and wisdom.
If you wish to further extend the benefits inherent in focusing on one affirmation a week for a whole year, you may choose to engage in other related activities such as writing or drawing in a journal about the affirmation, accessing your feelings, thoughts and commitments to follow the path of that higher standard and taking specific actions that exemplify the virtue. In meditating on the affirmations, you might want to acknowledge which ones come naturally to you and which ones you need to work on. This is your own course in understanding and internalizing the universal principles that guide all the aspects of life. As you master the principles, you master the many aspects of your life.
